Everyone is welcome!

Our church is one of the most recognisable Gothic Revival buildings in Dunedin. St Matthew's was designed by local architects Mason & Wales, its foundation stone was laid in 1873 and completed in December 1874.

But, while the building and its history are great, they’re not what makes St Matthew's worth visiting.

It's the people that make up the body of Christ, the discernible presence of God, the teaching, worship and music, and the Holy Spirit washing over everybody.

Our passion is to reveal the Light and Life of Jesus Christ to Dunedin and beyond!
